Magesh: From Student-Athlete to International Coach — A Journey Built Through Ball Badminton
In the vibrant sporting culture of Chennai emerged a determined athlete whose journey reflects discipline, resilience, and long-term commitment to India’s traditional racket sport — Ball Badminton.
Born on 08 November 1993 and a native of Chennai, Magesh began his Ball Badminton journey during his 10th standard. What started as a school-level passion soon evolved into a defining life path — one that would shape both his academic and professional career.

Magesh completed his B.Com at Vivekanandha College and later pursued his M.Sc at Crescent University. He further strengthened his academic credentials with PGDCA and PGDCM from Mangalore University, Karnataka.
Notably, all his academic milestones were achieved through the sports quota system — a reflection of how consistently he performed at competitive levels while balancing academics and athletics.

Professional Career and Continued Commitment
At the age of 27, on 10 July 2021, Magesh received his appointment in the Indian Postal Department in Chennai. Interestingly, that very same day marked another important beginning — the launch of his YouTube channel, Mady’s BallBadminton.
Now running with 6,400+ subscribers, the channel reflects his deep commitment to sports development. He invests his own time, effort, and financial resources to promote Ball Badminton, share match insights, and encourage young players.
From Player to International Coach
In a significant milestone, Magesh recently represented India as a coach for the Indian Ball Badminton Team during international events in Padang, Indonesia, and Bali, Indonesia.
Transitioning from national medalist to international coach demonstrates not only technical mastery but also leadership maturity. His journey represents the evolution of an athlete who continues to contribute to the sport at every stage.
