Indian Railways Introduces Videography and Biometric Verification for Sports Quota Recruitment
Indian Railways has introduced a major reform in the sports quota recruitment process to improve transparency and ensure fair selection of athletes across the country. Under the newly implemented rules, no sportsperson will now be recruited without proper videography of trials and biometric verification. The Railway Board has issued instructions to all railway zones making these procedures mandatory with immediate effect. The decision has been taken to eliminate possibilities of favoritism, fake participation, or irregularities during sports quota selections. According to officials, every field trial conducted for recruitment will now be recorded through videography. This step is expected to create greater accountability during the selection process and will also serve as evidence in case of future disputes or complaints regarding trials.
